Gowns are the perfect inspiration for wedding cakes. They can have fabulous fabric textures, beautiful bead work, and a style that sets the mood for the entire day. And those are only a few reasons why we love creating gown inspired wedding cakes. One of our lovely brides asked us to create a cake for her bridal shower using her tropical theme. We took it one step further and also drew inspiration from their honeymoon destinations and her floral centerpieces. This cake was a lot of fun to create. It gave us a chance to make beer bottles from modeling chocolate, sugar flowers, and edible sand!
Can you tell the difference between the real anthuriums and the sugar ones?
Modeling chocolate Corona bottles with hand painted labels, tucked into edible sand! We love inspiration! This cake features cornflower blue rounds separated by white hexagons, all with scrolls to match the invitation.
We used a combination of painted and piped scrolls to duplicate the pattern on the invitation.
We love couples to dare to be bold! We combined hot pink, silver and black to create this amazing 5 tier cake with a floating monogram center. Thank you to Laura Gravelle Photography for these amazing photos!
Recreating a beloved pet out of cake is quite a challenge. We think we got pretty close to making this Jack Russell Terrier come to life and we hope that you agree!
